Manny Pacquiao confirmed on Wednesday that he and Floyd Mayweather Jr. are in talks for a potential rematch. The discussions suggest the rematch could be streamed on Netflix.

Pacquiao expressed this during a report on Tuesday, detailing that a second showdown with Mayweather is being explored.

Pacquiao’s confirmation follows previous reports of speculations regarding his next boxing matches, including another potential bout against Vasiliy Lomachenko. Talks between Pacquiao and Lomachenko remain in the early stages, according to reports from October 2023.

Pacquiao’s representative, Sean Gibbons, also confirmed that a major fight is in the works but did not specify whether it would be against Mayweather or Lomachenko.

The discussions hint at a possible return to the ring for Pacquiao, with the fights potentially taking place in 2026. Mayweather and Pacquiao, who are both retired from professional boxing, are negotiating a rematch that could happen ten years after their initial encounter.

Pacquiao, 46, and Mayweather, 48, initially faced off in May 2015, a bout that ended with a unanimous decision victory for Mayweather.

As talks continue, both Pacquiao and Lomachenko’s camps emphasize that negotiations are in the preliminary stages. The potential bout with Lomachenko is also generating interest, with reports suggesting a tentative schedule for early 2026.

These developments arrive as Pacquiao remains active in his career outside the ring, including his involvement in the International Boxing Association (IBA) and other boxing ventures.

Pacquiao’s announcement has invigorated boxing enthusiasts worldwide, awaiting further updates on these potential high-profile matches.
