SAN ANTONIO — Lionel Richie will return to San Antonio this summer for a concert at the Frost Bank Center, joined once again by Earth, Wind & Fire.

Tickets for the July 28 show go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. Earth, Wind & Fire also opened for Richie when he last performed in San Antonio in summer 2024.

Richie, who rose to fame with the Commodores before launching a decades-long solo career, is known for hits including “Easy,” “Lady,” “Hello,” “All Night Long” and “Dancing on the Ceiling.” He currently serves as a judge on American Idol, which begins a new season this week.

Earth, Wind & Fire is expected to perform fan favorites such as “September” and “Boogie Wonderland.”

The concert marks another stop on Richie’s ongoing tour celebrating his catalog of R&B and pop classics.
