Leander Mayor Christine DeLisle has officially resigned from her post, with her last day in office set for October 16.
The City of Leander confirmed receiving DeLisle’s resignation and announced that a special election will be held on February 7 to fill the mayoral vacancy.
In the meantime, the Leander City Council will oversee the city’s operations and ensure continuity in governance during the transition period. City officials said preparations are underway for the election, including candidate filings, polling logistics, and voter information campaigns.
