Lea Salonga, Liza Soberano cast in DreamWorks’ upcoming film ‘Forgotten Island’

MANILA, Philippines– Lea Salonga and Liza Soberano have joined the voice cast of DreamWorks Animation’s upcoming film Forgotten Island, which will draw inspiration from Philippine mythology.

DreamWorks confirmed the casting in a press release, describing the project as part of its effort to showcase diverse cultures and stories.

Salonga, known internationally for her roles in Broadway and as the singing voice behind Disney characters Jasmine and Mulan, expressed excitement over the project’s cultural roots. Soberano, a prominent actress in Philippine film and television, said she is honored to be part of a film that celebrates Filipino heritage.

The studio has not yet announced a release date or additional cast members, but more details are expected in the coming months.

Forgotten Island marks another milestone in the growing collaboration between DreamWorks and Filipino artists, highlighting the Philippines’ rich storytelling tradition on the global stage.
