MANILA, Philippines– Navotas Representative Tobias Tiangco on Saturday, Dec. 27, called on the House of Representatives to fully disclose all allocations under the proposed 2026 General Appropriations Act before lawmakers vote on the measure on Dec. 29.
He said the chamber must explain how it will present, publish, and distribute the information to members of Congress and the public.
Tiangco said the House must release detailed data showing how funds under the proposed 2026 national budget will be distributed per congressional district and per party-list group. He said the House should post itemized Department of Public Works and Highways allocations for each district and party-list group on the official Congress website.
He said he conveyed the request in a message sent via Viber to The Manila Times and described full disclosure of the allocations as non-negotiable. Tiangco said he has requested the release of the data since Oct. 13, and said the conclusion of bicameral conference committee deliberations removed any reason to withhold the information.
Tiangco said publishing the information before the December 29 vote would allow lawmakers to make informed decisions on the proposed 2026 budget and give the public a clear view of how the government plans to distribute resources. The lawmaker said he will continue to push for the online posting of all district and party-list allocations and related project details before the House votes on the national budget.
