HOUSTON, Texas – LAWIN.news is excited to announce the appointment of Neska A. Centina as the new Editor-in-Chief, effective immediately. Neska replaces Orlando R. Dizon, Esq., who has transitioned to Compliance Executive and Business Development at LAWIN.news.
Neska is a dedicated journalist whose storytelling is significantly shaped by her background in media and law. She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication and Juris Doctor from the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, merging her legal knowledge with her mass communication skills to craft insightful and captivating narratives.
Neska’s journey in journalism began in elementary school, where she first took on the role of Editor-in-Chief for her school publication. Continuing this passion through high school solidified her love for writing, leading her to pursue a degree in Mass Communication at her university. During her studies, she served as Sports Editor for the Tolentine Star, further refining her editorial skills.
Following her graduation, Neska’s career took her from the digital newsroom of ABS-CBN to local radio stations like Brigada News FM and Radyo Bandera Bacolod, where she reported, wrote, and anchored news. Her diverse experience across various platforms has equipped her with the ability to craft compelling stories that resonate with audiences, informed by her legal insights.
