MANILA, Philippines– Senator Sherwin Gatchalian is drafting a new law to penalize operators and promoters of illegal online gambling sites in the Philippines.

The legislation targets online influencers, endorsers, advertising agencies, and e-wallet service providers involved in promoting these illegal activities.

The proposed measure aims to strengthen regulations against illegal online gambling and extend accountability beyond operators to those promoting such activities.

Gatchalian has emphasized the need to address the growing concerns over the proliferation of unauthorized gambling platforms.

The bill seeks to enhance enforcement efforts and hold accountable all parties contributing to illegal online gambling. The law, once enacted, will impose penalties on individuals and entities found guilty of promoting illegal gambling operations.
