Klay Thompson has signed a lifetime sneaker endorsement contract with Anta, the company announced during NBA All-Star Weekend, solidifying a partnership that began in 2015.

Anta revealed the agreement at the opening of its first North American flagship store in Beverly Hills. Anta CEO Samuel Xu joined Thompson at the event, where the company also unveiled the KT11 “Make It Forever” edition sneaker.

Thompson, a four-time NBA champion, has partnered with Anta for more than a decade. The company said Thompson’s KT signature shoe line has sold more than 10 million pairs worldwide and includes 11 models.

Thompson is under contract with the Dallas Mavericks. During the current season, the 36-year-old guard is averaging 11.6 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game, while shooting 38.8% from the field and 37.5% from three-point range, all career lows.

Anta operates more than 12,000 retail locations across Asia. The company has expanded its presence internationally in recent years, including entry into the North American market.

Lifetime endorsement contracts are uncommon in the NBA. Other players who have received similar agreements include LeBron James and Kevin Durant with Nike, and Damian Lillard with Adidas.

Anta did not disclose the financial terms of Thompson’s lifetime deal.
