Kensington Palace released a new photograph of Prince George to celebrate his 12th birthday on July 22.

Photographer Josh Shinner took the image, capturing the young royal in a relaxed pose by a wooden gate in a rural setting. Prince George wears a white checkered shirt paired with a brown fleece gilet.

The palace made the photograph public with the caption “Happy 12th birthday to Prince George!” to mark the occasion.

The royal family continues the tradition of sharing images of George and his siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, on their birthdays.

Prince William and Princess Kate also shared a video montage featuring their children to commemorate Prince George’s birthday.

Photographer Josh Shinner, who captured this year’s image of Prince George, has previously worked with the royal family. He recently photographed Prince Louis for his seventh birthday.
