Karl Eldrew Yulo: “Top 10 finish feels like a win”

MANILA, Philippines—Filipino gymnast Karl Eldrew Yulo on Thursday finished eighth in the men’s all-around final at the 2025 Artistic Gymnastics Junior World Championships, where he competed against 23 other athletes and scored 78.731 points in a performance that placed him in the Top 10 despite missing a podium position.

Yulo competed in all six men’s apparatus events as part of the all-around program and recorded cumulative scores that ranked him eighth overall in the final standings.

Event officials listed Yulo as one of 24 qualifiers who advanced to the all-around final after preliminary rounds earlier in the competition.

Tournament organizers confirmed that the 2025 Artistic Gymnastics Junior World Championships gathered junior gymnasts from multiple countries to vie for individual and team honors in men’s and women’s events.

Philippine gymnastics officials noted that Yulo’s Top 10 placement in the all-around final marked a significant result for the national junior program at the world level.

Coaches and team staff recorded Yulo’s total of 78.731 points as his official all-around score for the championship final.
