KERR COUNTY, Texas — An 18-year-old nonprofit founder is raising funds and collecting toys to support children impacted by recent severe flooding in Texas.

Sammie Magee is leading the effort through her nonprofit organization, Sammie’s Toy Drive.

Magee founded the organization in honor of the victims of the Robb Elementary School shooting in Uvalde, Texas. As part of her current initiative, she has raised over $800 in Amazon gift cards toward a goal of $1,000. The funds will be used to purchase toys and supplies for children in flood-affected areas.

She plans to visit Kerr County in November to help distribute donations. The visit will coincide with her annual toy drive in Uvalde.

Sammie’s Toy Drive continues to operate in support of children facing crisis, focusing on providing comfort and assistance during difficult circumstances.
