Fundraising Success

Kamala Harris’ campaign has shattered fundraising records, raising a staggering $200 million in just one week. This impressive feat is a testament to the campaign’s momentum and enthusiasm, with 66% of the donations coming from new donors. This influx of financial support is a significant boost to Harris’ presidential bid, especially considering the close-fought campaign ahead. The fundraising success is all the more remarkable when compared to Trump’s campaign, which raised $331 million in the second quarter. Harris’ campaign has managed to narrow the financial gap, with $200 million raised in just a week, demonstrating the strong support and enthusiasm behind her candidacy.

Volunteer Sign-ups

Fundraising isn’t the only area where Harris’ campaign has seen significant success. In the same week, the campaign has signed up an impressive 170,000 new volunteers. This surge in volunteer support is a crucial aspect of any successful campaign, providing the necessary manpower to spread the message, canvass, and get out the vote. Another key aspect of the volunteer sign-ups is the level of engagement and enthusiasm they demonstrate. With such a large number of new volunteers joining the campaign, it’s clear that Harris’ message is resonating with voters and inspiring them to take action. Polls Show Close Race

Now that Kamala Harris has taken the reins as the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, polls are indicating a tight contest ahead. According to recent surveys, including one by Reuters/Ipsos, Harris and Trump are necessaryly tied, setting the stage for a closely fought campaign over the remaining 100 days until the election. This development comes as no surprise, given the momentum Harris has gained since becoming the presumptive nominee.

Despite Trump’s initial lead over Biden, Harris has managed to narrow the gap, with some polls even showing her taking a slight lead. A New York Times/Siena College national poll published Thursday found Harris closing in on Trump, while a Wall Street Journal poll published on Friday showed Trump holding a slim two-point lead over her. With the election just around the corner, it’s clear that every vote will count in this nail-biter of a race.

Trump’s Fundraising Efforts

With Trump’s campaign coffers already flush with cash, his fundraising efforts are expected to continue unabated. In early July, his campaign reported raising a staggering $331 million in the second quarter, outpacing the $264 million raised by Biden’s campaign and its Democratic allies during the same period. As of the end of June, Trump’s campaign had a substantial $284.9 million in cash on hand, compared to the Democratic campaign’s $240 million.

Landscape of fundraising has changed dramatically since Trump’s conviction in late May on felony charges related to a hush-money payment to a porn star ahead of the 2016 election, and an assassination attempt against him this month. These events have likely spurred campaign contributions, giving Trump a significant financial advantage heading into the final stretch of the election.
