MANILA, Philippines — Former world boxing champion Jerwin Ancajas will fight Uruguay’s Ruben Dario Casero on August 2 at Thunder Studios in Long Beach, California, according to event organizers.

Ancajas, who previously withdrew from the Pacquiao-Barrios undercard scheduled for July 19 in Las Vegas, will now appear on a separate fight card promoted by MarvNation Promotions. His withdrawal left fellow MP Promotions fighters Mark Magsayo and Eumir Marcial to compete without him on the earlier event.

The August 2 bout marks Ancajas’ return to the ring following his absence from the Las Vegas fight. Event details, including the undercard lineup and broadcast information, have yet to be released.
