The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) announced on Wednesday that Jeffrey Cariaso is among the 10 new players added to the league’s “Greatest Players” list.

The announcement took place during the PBA’s celebration of its golden anniversary.

Cariaso, whose professional career includes eight PBA championships, expressed gratitude towards his teammates, acknowledging their role in his career achievements.

Other players newly added to the list include Nelson Asaytono, June Mar Fajardo, and Scottie Thompson. These additions honor the significant impact and performance of players in the league.

Cariaso began his career in the PBA with Alaska, securing six championships with the team, including the 1995 Governors’ Cup.

His career accolades also include two more championship titles later in his career, underscoring his consistent performance on the court.

The new members join a prestigious group of players previously recognized during the league’s 25th and 40th anniversaries.

The original list, released in 2000, included 25 players, with an additional 15 added in 2015. The PBA continues to celebrate and acknowledge the talents who have contributed to the league’s success over the years.

Cariaso, in response to the honor, emphasized the importance of teamwork in achieving success. He credited his fellow players and coaches for the support and collaboration that led to his success in the league.

The PBA, in its quest to honor its fiftieth year, sought to highlight the excellence and dedication of its players.
