LOS ANGELES — Disney+ announced on Friday that it will release a lineup of Korean dramas in 2026 starring actors IU, Hyun Bin, Ju Ji Hoon, Kim Seon Ho, and Bae Suzy on its global streaming platform.

The company said IU will play a lead role in at least one series, while Hyun Bin will headline a separate project scheduled for the 2026 slate. Ju Ji Hoon, Kim Seon Ho, and Bae Suzy will also star in upcoming Korean dramas planned for release on Disney+.

Disney+ said the lineup forms part of its strategy to expand Asian original content offerings and meet growing global demand for Korean dramas. The company stated that all 2026 Korean dramas will premiere exclusively on Disney+ before any secondary distribution.

Officials added that the platform is collaborating with established Korean production companies and creative teams to oversee casting, production schedules, and marketing. Disney+ confirmed it will release titles, synopses, and release dates closer to 2026 and will provide updates as filming progresses.
