Iran denies responsibility for downing Ukrainian plane

Ukraine International Airlines Flight PS752 crashed shortly after takeoff from Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport, resulting in the deaths of all 176 passengers and crew on board.

U.S. officials have stated that intelligence indicates the plane was struck by an Iranian missile, citing satellite imagery and infrared data.

Iran denies these allegations, suggesting technical failure as a possible cause and calling for patience while its investigation proceeds.

Iran has invited international experts, including representatives from Ukraine and Boeing, to participate in the investigation. ‘

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, whose countries lost citizens in the crash, have called for a thorough and transparent inquiry.

Boeing has expressed willingness to support the investigation and extended condolences to the victims’ families.
