Marcos emphasized the ICI’s backbone as its ability to function independently, highlighting its essential role in addressing corruption issues.

The assurance comes amid investigations into corruption involving government officials in infrastructure projects.

In other news, Brice Hernandez was returned to Senate custody from Pasay jail.

Hernandez’s transfer follows legal proceedings that required his presence for further questioning.

The transfer was executed under tight security to ensure compliance with legal protocols.
