Austin Animal Center rescues and cares for injured owl

AUSTIN, Texas– An injured barred owl was rescued near a park in Austin, Texas, after being found unable to move.

A passerby noticed the bird’s condition and called the Austin Animal Center for assistance. The center dispatched wildlife experts who carefully captured the owl and transported it for evaluation.

Upon arrival at the center, the owl was examined by veterinary staff, who determined that it had sustained injuries that hindered its mobility.

According to the veterinary staff, the injuries were likely caused by a collision or fall.

The owl is currently receiving treatment and care, with a focus on recovery and rehabilitation.
