AUSTIN, Texas — Jamie White, a writer for Infowars, was killed in a shooting over the weekend in South Austin. The Austin Police Department (APD) has confirmed that the incident is under investigation, with authorities suspecting that White was shot during a vehicle burglary.

The shooting occurred in a South Austin neighborhood, where White was believed to have been targeted during the burglary of his vehicle.

The APD’s homicide unit is leading the investigation.

No arrests have been made, and authorities have not released information about potential suspects.

Detectives are reviewing surveillance footage and conducting interviews to gather more information.

The APD is asking anyone with information related to the shooting to come forward, particularly if they observed any suspicious activity in the area around the time of the incident.

White, a contributing writer for Infowars, was known for his work with the platform, which focuses on controversial news and conspiracy theories. The shooting has led to a response from the community, and local authorities are actively working to resolve the case.

Infowars has not released an official statement regarding White’s death. His colleagues and others associated with the platform have expressed condolences following the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
