Hutto Independent School District (Hutto ISD) has implemented a high-tech security system across its schools to enhance safety for students and staff.

The district introduced the new security measures at the start of the school year, collaborating with local law enforcement to integrate advanced technology into its protocols.

The system includes surveillance cameras and electronic access controls to prevent unauthorized access and monitor activity within school buildings.

Hutto ISD invested in these enhancements following safety concerns raised by parents and community members. The district held meetings with law enforcement to identify priority areas for upgrades.

Local police departments provided support and resources for the implementation. The district’s board approved the security budget earlier this year.

Hutto ISD plans to continue working with law enforcement to assess and update security measures as needed.
