Landscaping crew discovers human skull in Kyle; Investigation underway

On August 29, at approximately 10:30 a.m., police in Kyle were alerted by a landscaping crew to the discovery of what appeared to be a human skull in the 5800 block of Kyle Parkway.

Following this discovery, a comprehensive search was carried out by investigators, the Kyle Police Department’s drone team, and Texas Search and Rescue.

Justice of the Peace Beth Smith certified the death at the scene.

The remains will be transferred to the medical examiner’s office for further examination.

According to the Kyle Police Department (KPD), the cause of death and the identity of the deceased are still under investigation, but currently, there is no evidence of foul play.
