Houston officer fires gun at three men in stolen vehicle, police say

HOUSTON, Texas–An officer from the Houston Police Department fired his weapon at three men in a stolen vehicle on Thursday just before 11:30 p.m., according to Assistant Chief Luis Menendez.

Officers responded to a call regarding an aggravated robbery in northeast Houston, where the suspects allegedly stole a black Ford Mustang.

The incident occurred when the suspects reportedly tried to run over the officer, prompting him to discharge his weapon.

None of the suspects sustained injuries from the gunfire.

Authorities discovered a stolen gun and an AR-15 style rifle within the vehicle.

The investigation into the incident continues, as no charges have been filed yet.
