House executive vows to work with Senate on finalizing wage hike bill

MANILA, Philippines– Rizal 4th District Representative Juan Fidel Nograles announced on Tuesday that the House of Representatives will collaborate with the Senate to finalize the minimum wage hike bill before the 19th Congress adjourns.

Nograles assured that the House is awaiting the Senate’s appointment of members to the bicameral conference committee.

This committee will reconcile discrepancies between House Bill No. 11376 and Senate Bill No. 2534, known as the Wage Hike for Minimum Wage Workers Act.

The House has already approved a proposal for a P200 increase in the minimum wage.
