RICHARDSON, Texas — A fire broke out at Del’s Charcoal Burgers, a historic burger establishment in Richardson, Texas, on a Friday afternoon. Del’s has been a staple in the community since 1957, known for its burgers, hot dogs, and root beer floats.

The fire started around 4:30 p.m. at the location on 110 S. McKinney St. The Richardson Fire Department acted swiftly, responding to the emergency without delay. Firefighters managed to extinguish the flames in time to prevent severe damage to the establishment, which is regarded as a historic landmark in the area.

Del’s Charcoal Burgers communicated the incident through social media platforms, thanking the Richardson Fire Department for their prompt response. They also expressed gratitude to the local community for their support and reassured their patrons that they plan to reopen soon.

Del’s is located off U.S. 75 and Belt Line Road, easily accessible to its loyal clientele. The site has retained its original charm, contributing to its status as a beloved dining location in North Texas.

While the extent of the damage and the cause of the fire have not been detailed, the quick actions of the emergency responders were crucial in safeguarding the establishment. The fire department’s efforts ensured that the community would not lose an important part of Richardson’s culinary and cultural heritage.
