Coco Martin admits he’s ‘not a fan’ of local K-drama remakes

MANILA, Philippines– Actor Coco Martin revealed that he turned down offers to appear in local adaptations of Korean dramas.

Star Magic, Martin’s talent agency, confirmed that the actor received multiple proposals for such projects. Martin explained that he is not personally inclined toward K-drama remakes, citing his creative preferences.

His decision drew mixed reactions from fans, with some expressing support for his artistic independence while others shared disappointment over missed opportunities.

Industry observers noted that Korean drama adaptations remain popular in the Philippines, with many production companies viewing them as viable for local audiences.
