Governor Greg Abbott distributed $25,000 checks to families affected by recent flooding in Texas Hill Country, as part of recovery efforts organized by the Vaqueros del Mar Texas Flood Relief Fund.
The funds were raised through the “Strait to the Heart” benefit concert, which featured a performance by country music artist George Strait and raised over $7 million for flood victims.
Abbott emphasized the seriousness of the flooding and the need for continued support to help families rebuild. The aid is intended to cover expenses such as home repairs, temporary housing, and essential needs.
