BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Goo Goo Dolls have faced a challenging week on their Canadian tour, canceling three consecutive shows due to illness.

The band first called off their Monday performance at GFL Memorial Gardens Arena in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, followed by a Wednesday cancellation at Tribute Communities Centre in Oshawa, Ontario. On Thursday, the cancellation continued at TD Coliseum in Hamilton after frontman John Rzeznik was diagnosed with pneumonia.

In a social media statement, the band said, “With sorrow and gratitude, we must cancel tonight’s show… All tickets for tonight’s show will be refunded at the place of purchase.” They expressed hope to resume the Canadian leg of their tour with a Saturday show in London, Ontario.

According to their tour schedule, the next show is Saturday, followed by a Monday performance in Ottawa. The Canadian tour concludes on April 11 in Moncton, New Brunswick, before the band heads to a festival in Texas, a show in Mexico, and a summer tour across the United States.
