MANILA, Philippines — Titan Ultra secured a 132-128 victory over Macau in the PBA Governors’ Cup eliminations on Tuesday night, but the Giant Risers left Ninoy Aquino Stadium concerned about rookie Mark Omega after a hard fall late in the fourth quarter.

Omega suffered the injury while attempting to grab an offensive rebound after Roi Sumang missed a three-point attempt. Medical personnel attended to him on the court before stretchered him out and transported him to a nearby hospital.

“We’ll just pray [that he is OK],” Titan Ultra coach Rensy Bajar said. “We saw how bad his fall was. We can only pray for him. Hopefully, there’s nothing serious when we see the results [of medical examinations].”

Omega scored six points and grabbed four rebounds in just over seven minutes before leaving the game.

Bajar said Omega had shown enough during his limited playing time to suggest that he could have produced a breakout performance.

“I just kept telling him to wait for his [time] … It could’ve been his breakout game,” Bajar said.

Titan Ultra improved to 2-5 in Group A and handed Macau its fifth loss of the conference.

Import Tirrell Brown led the Giant Risers with 36 points and 10 rebounds, finishing three assists short of a triple-double.

Joshua Munzon added 18 points as Brown’s key support, while Sumang scored 14 and Bryan Sajonia contributed 13.

Titan Ultra built a 110-95 lead early in the fourth quarter before Macau mounted a late challenge.

De’Vondre Perry led the Giant Pandas with 45 points and 14 rebounds, while Ramon Cao added 24 points and 12 rebounds.

Damian Chong Qui and Jeffrey Ma each scored 18 points for Macau, which played with an eight-man rotation.

The loss dropped Macau into a tie with Titan Ultra in Group A.

Despite the victory, Bajar said the team’s immediate concern remained Omega’s condition as they awaited the results of his medical examination.
