From actor to director: Gerald Anderson on debut in Sins of the Father

MANILA, Philippines– Kapamilya actor Gerald Anderson will make his directorial debut in an upcoming episode of ABS-CBN’s crime-thriller series Sins of the Father, currently the most-watched show on iWantTFC.

Anderson was given the opportunity by JRB Creative Production to direct a pivotal episode in which his character, Samuel Trinidad, faces off against 100 adversaries. The episode marks a significant milestone in Anderson’s nearly two-decade career in the entertainment industry.

Sins of the Father stars Anderson alongside JC de Vera and Shaina Magdayao. The series follows Samuel, a bank manager drawn into a complex crime linked to his estranged father’s past.

The show premiered on June 23, 2025, and airs weekdays. Directed by FM Reyes and Bjoy Balagtas, it has gained strong viewer support and continues to trend online for its compelling plot and performances.

Available on the Kapamilya Channel and iWantTFC, Sins of the Father highlights Anderson’s transition from actor to director, reflecting his evolving role in the industry.
