A person was discovered shot dead inside a Fort Worth residence early Saturday morning, as reported by the Fort Worth Police Department.

Officers initially responded to a stabbing report at the 2600 block of Yeager Street around 7:30 a.m. Upon arrival, they found the victim in bed with gunshot wounds to the upper body and head, who was declared dead at the scene. Investigators determined that both the victim and suspect had temporarily stayed at the residence prior to the shooting, though they were not permanent residents. The suspect was observed leaving the area several hours before the victim was found. Police later located and arrested the suspect in west central Texas. Homicide detectives are currently investigating the incident. The suspect’s identity has not been released, and the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will announce the victim’s name once the family has been notified.
