First PH-Japan joint mission under new pact focuses on Cebu quake relief

The Philippines and Japan initiated their first joint operation under the new Reciprocal Access Agreement (RAA) on Wednesday, Oct. 8, in Cebu.

The air force units of both nations will provide aid to residents affected by a magnitude 6.9 earthquake. The joint exercise marks a significant collaboration in response to natural disasters under the newly established military pact.

Aid delivery aims to support communities impacted by the earthquake’s devastation. This effort demonstrates the cooperative efforts between the two countries in disaster response. Both air forces will coordinate to efficiently distribute essential supplies to the affected areas.
