First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos is currently on a working visit to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from July 17-20, to meet with overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and address their welfare concerns.

During her visit, she will tour shelters for distressed women OFWs and children. The First Lady will also launch initiatives aimed at improving the conditions of Filipino workers in the country.

Due to this trip, Araneta-Marcos will not join President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on his upcoming visit to the United States, a Palace official confirmed on Friday.

Palace Press Officer Claire Castro provided details about the First Lady’s agenda, highlighting her focus on programs supporting OFWs in Saudi Arabia.
