On Friday night, the DFA raised the crisis alert to Level 3, signaling a call for voluntary repatriation of Filipinos in Israel and Iran.
The DFA is actively coordinating with diplomatic channels and local authorities to ensure the safe and timely return of affected Filipinos.
Advisories have been issued urging overseas Filipinos in the region to exercise caution and stay in close contact with Philippine embassies for assistance.
Efforts to facilitate repatriation are ongoing, with the process adhering to necessary health protocols due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The government is also providing support mechanisms to help returnees adjust once back in the Philippines.
