SAN ANTONIO, Texas– A father and son have been sentenced on drug charges following their involvement in running a drug trafficking operation near Harlandale High School in San Antonio, Texas.

Jorge Morado Pinales and his son, Jorge Armando Moreno, both faced sentencing before the U.S. District judge. The charges included manufacturing and delivering controlled substances.

The criminal activities took place in close proximity to Harlandale High School, which is located in a residential neighborhood, making the operation particularly alarming to the local community and law enforcement.

During the trial, prosecutors presented evidence that detailed how the father-son duo executed their operations. The evidence included intercepted communications and testimonies from individuals who participated in the trafficking activities under their direction.

The prosecution argued that their actions posed a threat to the community, especially given the proximity to the high school.

In response to the charges, the duo admitted to their involvement in the drug trafficking scheme.

Harlandale High School authorities have expressed relief at the outcome of the case.

School officials have underscored the importance of maintaining a safe educational environment and have reiterated their commitment to collaborating with law enforcement to prevent similar incidents in the future.
