Electrolit, a leading sports drink brand, has chosen a historic Houston building as its new U.S. headquarters. The company, originally from Mexico, has set up operations at 3201 Allen Parkway, a notable site that previously housed the Stages performing arts group, the Houston Children’s Museum, and the historic Star Engraving Co.

Electrolit has leased over 8,000 square feet for its growing U.S. operations, accommodating 60 current employees with plans to increase staff by 20% by the end of 2025, as reported by the Houston Business Journal. President and CEO Caridad Ochoa expressed her excitement about the new office, highlighting its design inspired by the minimalist art of Donald Judd and the small town of Marfa, Texas. The space is designed to foster collaboration and creativity among team members.

Previously, Electrolit operated from a WeWork space in the Galleria Office Tower I, and this move signifies a significant step in its U.S. expansion strategy. Since entering the American market in 2014, Electrolit has become the fourth-largest sports drink brand in the nation. Additionally, the company plans to open its first U.S. production facility in Waco by 2026, creating over 200 jobs. The move to Allen Parkway symbolizes Electrolit’s commitment to establishing a permanent presence in Texas.
