DepEd denounces bullying, urges protection for students

MANILA, Philippines– The Department of Education (DepEd) in the Philippines announced a renewed commitment on Saturday to eliminate bullying in schools and promote safe learning environments for students.

DepEd emphasized handling each reported bullying incident with seriousness and pledged to conduct prompt and ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and support of all students in educational institutions.

The department affirmed its dedication under the leadership of Secretary Sonny Angara, who was the principal author of the Anti-Bullying Act of 2013, also known as Republic Act 10627.

DepEd is working in collaboration with parents, teachers, and communities to advance child protection and address bullying effectively.
