HOUSTON — Locations for voters to cast ballots in the upcoming Republican and Democratic primary elections have been finalized, county officials said.
Election day sites were confirmed after contracts between each party and the vote centers were completed by Tuesday, according to County Elections Administrator Paul Adams. Some previously considered locations were unavailable, swapped, or declined participation.
Adams advised voters to check the county elections website for updates if any changes occur. Full lists of early voting and election day locations for both parties are available online and can be searched via an interactive map.
The Republican Party consolidated several smaller precincts into larger ones, meaning voters living at the same address may be assigned different polling locations depending on party affiliation or registration.
Adams said the changes influenced the county’s election education campaign, “Know Before You Go.” He encouraged voters to arrive early, noting that navigators will be stationed at as many polling sites as possible to direct voters to the correct location if needed. “If you show up near closing time and are told to go to another site across town, you may not make it in time,” he said.
