Cristiano Ronaldo said in Dubai that he aims to score 1,000 career goals before retiring from professional football and believes he can reach the target if he stays injury-free.

The 40-year-old forward plays for Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League and captains Portugal. He said he feels strong and fit and plans to continue competing at the top level as long as his body allows.

Ronaldo said he will keep playing for club and country while pursuing personal milestones and team trophies. He manages training, recovery, and lifestyle to reduce injury risk and extend his career.

He adapts his playing style as he ages to remain effective in front of goal. Ronaldo ranks among football’s highest scorers, adding to his tally in domestic, European, and international matches.

Ronaldo has played for Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, and Al Nassr. He has also scored for Portugal in European Championships, World Cups, and other tournaments.

He said his family, teammates, and coaches support his goal of reaching 1,000 career goals. He will announce retirement when he feels he can no longer compete at his expected level.

Ronaldo remains focused on his current season objectives while tracking his progress toward the milestone.
