MANILA, Philippines — Criss Cross defeated D’Navigators Iloilo with a score of 25-18, 25-14, 25-16 in a block party held at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig. The match took place on Sunday night. This win enabled Criss Cross to take sole possession of third place in the Spikers’ Turf Invitational Conference.

The match featured impressive performances from Criss Cross’s middle blockers Gian Glorioso and Rex Intal, who contributed significantly to the team’s victory. Criss Cross started strong, gaining an early lead. They maintained their momentum as they showcased effective teamwork and strong defensive plays throughout the match.

The first set unfolded with Criss Cross establishing control early on. D’Navigators struggled to respond effectively to Criss Cross’s offensive strategies. The players from Criss Cross executed well-timed spikes and coordinated blocks, allowing them to keep their lead until the end of the set.

In the second set, Criss Cross continued their dominant performance. D’Navigators attempted to make adjustments but found it challenging to cope with Criss Cross’s relentless attacks. The middle blocker duo of Glorioso and Intal was particularly effective, rising to the occasion with impactful plays that often left D’Navigators scrambling defensively.

The third set saw Criss Cross maintain their intensity. They demonstrated strong communication, which enabled quick transitions and seamless ball handling. D’Navigators managed to secure a few points, but Criss Cross’s lead was solid, and they closed the set successfully.

This match highlights the team’s improvement and serves as a statement of their determination in the ongoing tournament. The victory not only boosts their confidence but also places them in a favorable position as they look ahead to their upcoming matches in the Invitational Conference.
