MANILA, Philippines–The Pasig City Regional Trial Court Branch 159 has denied televangelist Apollo Quiboloy’s petition to be placed under house arrest.

Quiboloy’s legal team requested his release from detention, but the court, in a four-page order, found no persuasive justification for the request.

Quiboloy, founder of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC), is facing multiple allegations, which have led to ongoing legal proceedings.

In their petition, Quiboloy’s legal team argued that house arrest was warranted under certain circumstances.

However, the court determined that these factors were insufficient to alter his detention conditions.
