NASHVILLE, Tennessee– Country music artist Conner Smith was involved in a vehicle-pedestrian collision in Nashville on June 10, 2025, that resulted in the death of a 77-year-old woman.
According to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. Central Time.
Smith was driving a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck when he struck Dorothy Dobbins, who was walking in a crosswalk. Dobbins was transported to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
Police stated that Smith failed to yield the right of way to the pedestrian. Authorities reported no signs of impairment and no charges have been filed at this time.
Smith’s attorney confirmed his involvement in the incident and issued a statement expressing condolences to Dobbins’ family. Smith has not issued a personal public statement.
