MANILA, Philippines– The Commission on Elections (Comelec) Second Division in the Philippines canceled the registration of the Duterte Youth party-list on Wednesday.

Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia announced the decision during an interview, revealing that the resolution was passed by a 2-1 vote.

The decision is a result of a 2019 case against the organization. In 2019, youth leaders filed a petition to annul the group’s registration because the Comelec en banc had approved it without publishing the organization’s petition.
