Theater, film icon Cocoy Laurel passes away at 72

MANILA, Philippines– Victor D. Laurel, known as Cocoy Laurel in the entertainment industry, passed away at age 72, as announced by his family on Monday.

Laurel died on Saturday, June 14, and the news was shared on a Facebook page managed by his family, dedicated to his late grandmother Celia Laurel.

The cause of death was not disclosed. In the announcement, the family expressed deep affection and faith, entrusting Victor to God.

Cocoy Laurel, celebrated for his contributions in screen and stage, left a significant legacy in the entertainment world.
