The City of Austin is finalizing the relocation of the Sunrise Homeless Navigation Center, which has faced community scrutiny.

The center, currently near Joslin Elementary School, will move to a new site off I-35 by Oltorf, which is nearly ten times larger.

The relocation aims to improve service delivery for homeless individuals by offering food, clothing, health care, and housing resources.

However, the proposed new location has met with resistance from local residents concerned about community safety and well-being.
