The Dallas Stars received a strong show of support from the Dallas City Council during its first session since the team clinched a spot in the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

City officials highlighted the franchise’s deep roots and success in North Texas, including five straight playoff appearances and 21 postseason berths since relocating to Dallas in 1993. The team’s historic 1999 Stanley Cup Finals victory was also cited as a defining moment for the city.

Beyond celebration, the timing of the council’s proclamation raised questions about its broader intent. The Stars are currently weighing their long-term home, with other ადგილ North Texas options—such as Plano—reportedly in consideration. The public show of support may signal Dallas’ push to keep the team within city limits.

The Stanley Cup Playoffs are set to begin on April 18, with the Stars’ first-round opponent still to be determined. Fans can begin securing tickets in early April through team channels, as excitement builds around another potential deep playoff run.
