Rody Duterte’s plane makes refueling stop in Dubai

DUBAI, UAE — A chartered plane carrying former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte made a scheduled stopover in Dubai for refueling on Wednesday morning.

The aircraft landed shortly after 8 a.m. local time, according to flight-tracking service FlightRadar.

The purpose of Duterte’s flight or its final destination remains unconfirmed.

Duterte, who served as the President of the Philippines from 2016 to 2022, is known for his controversial policies, including his strong anti-drug campaign.
