‘Alcaranu’ in action: Alcaraz and Raducanu set for US Open mixed doubles

Carlos Alcaraz and Emma Raducanu will participate in the U.S. Open mixed doubles competition, which will start a week before the singles main draw during Fan Week, according to tournament organizers on Tuesday.

Nine of the top-10 ranked male and female tennis players in the world have confirmed their entry into the revamped mixed doubles event.

The tournament will feature 16 teams, with the entry window closing on July 28.

The top eight teams with the highest combined singles rankings will secure their spots in the competition.

The winning team will receive a prize of $1 million.

Carlos Alcaraz and Emma Raducanu are both former singles champions.

The U.S. Open’s mixed doubles event aims to heighten engagement and excitement during the tournament’s initial phase.
