BTS member Jin donated ₱4 million to the Namkwang Social Welfare Society in Busan, South Korea to mark his 33rd birthday and support underprivileged members of the local community, according to a statement from the organization.
Officials of the Namkwang Social Welfare Society confirmed that they received the ₱4 million donation from Jin.
The organization stated that it will allocate Jin’s contribution to programs that assist low-income residents in Busan.
The welfare group reported that it plans to use the funds to provide living support and social services for vulnerable community members.
Representatives of the Namkwang Social Welfare Society said they recorded Jin’s donation as a birthday contribution.
The organization identified Jin as a long-time supporter of charitable activities.
Officials said they will announce specific projects funded by Jin’s donation after internal planning.
