MANILA, Philippines — BTS has set a new record with their album ARIRANG, becoming the most-streamed K-pop album on Spotify less than a week after its release.

Spotify said the album reached the milestone in just four days, highlighting the strong global support of BTS fans, known as ARMY. It also became the most-streamed album in a single day on the platform in 2026, with over 249 million total streams so far.

“ARIRANG” marks BTS’s first group album in four years since “Proof” in 2022. All 14 tracks quickly entered Spotify’s daily top songs chart after its release on March 20.

To promote the album, BTS partnered with Spotify for interactive activities, including a treasure hunt featuring hidden audio clips of the members, a fan quiz, and a virtual listening party. The group also held a “SWIMSIDE” event in New York attended by about 1,000 fans.

BTS is set to continue promotions in South Korea with a special “SWIMSIDE” cruise event along the Han River.
