MANILA — Veteran TV host Boy Abunda said actor Alvin Aragon “crossed the line” when he criticized celebrity parents who publicly support their LGBTQIA+ children.

Speaking on the Feb. 25 episode of Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Abunda said he initially did not want to weigh in on the issue out of respect for Aragon and his wife, former SexBomb Girls member Izzy Trazona, who recently guested on his show.

Abunda, a member of the queer community, said Aragon was entitled to his faith and beliefs but went too far when he named celebrity parents such as K Brosas, Ian Veneracion, and Gloc-9 for supporting their lesbian and gay children.

“To me, that was wrong. Doon sumobra si Alvin,” Abunda said, stressing that no one has the right to impose their faith or parenting style on others.

He ended his statement by quoting St. John of the Cross: “In the evening of life we will all be judged on love and love alone.”
